Find the Right Fixture Size

Use these quick rules as a starting point for choosing chandelier size and hanging height. For large foyers, staircases or custom installations, we recommend reviewing the full room dimensions.

01 Chandelier Diameter
Room Length + Room Width

Add the room length and width in feet. Use the same number in inches as a starting chandelier diameter.

Example: 12′ + 14′ = about 26″ diameter
02 Dining Table
About 1/2–2/3 of the Table Width

The chandelier should feel proportional to the table while leaving visual space around the fixture.

Keep the fixture centered over the table
03 Dining Hanging Height
30–36″ Above the Table

For a standard dining installation, measure from the tabletop to the lowest point of the chandelier.

Adjust slightly for ceiling height and fixture proportion
04 High Ceiling / Staircase
Size by Overall Space and Drop

Double-height foyers and staircases should be sized using ceiling height, room width, fixture length and the desired lowest point.

Sightlines and floor clearance should also be considered
