Checking the alignment and joins by hand.
The Lamellisse Alabaster Disc Counterweight Pendant by Bling Lighting Studio suspends a stack of small alabaster discs below a curved brass cap. A separate hanging counterweight balances the cord, giving the layered stone shade a flexible swagged ceiling arrangement.
Light passing through the alabaster reveals the natural veining, tone and translucency of each stone section. Integrated LED lighting is included.

Every shade is made from natural alabaster, with individual mineral veining, subtle shifts in color, and differences in translucency. We select each piece with the final fixture in mind.
Natural variation is expected. Tone, veining and light transmission differ from piece to piece; we review the overall balance of each finished fixture.
Natural stone takes careful hands. Our makers review each fitting, secure the hardware, and inspect the assembled fixture under light.
