Lighting Size Guide

Find the Right Fixture Size

Use these quick rules as a starting point for choosing chandelier size and hanging height. For large foyers, staircases or custom installations, we recommend reviewing the full room dimensions.

01 Chandelier Diameter
Room Length + Room Width

Add the room length and width in feet. Use the same number in inches as a starting chandelier diameter.

Example: 12′ + 14′ = about 26″ diameter
02 Dining Table
About 1/2–2/3 of the Table Width

The chandelier should feel proportional to the table while leaving visual space around the fixture.

Keep the fixture centered over the table
03 Dining Hanging Height
30–36″ Above the Table

For a standard dining installation, measure from the tabletop to the lowest point of the chandelier.

Adjust slightly for ceiling height and fixture proportion
04 High Ceiling / Staircase
Size by Overall Space and Drop

Double-height foyers and staircases should be sized using ceiling height, room width, fixture length and the desired lowest point.

Sightlines and floor clearance should also be considered

Genuine Natural Alabaster

Real Stone. Naturally One of a Kind.

Every genuine alabaster shade begins with natural stone. Its mineral veining, subtle shifts in color, and variation in translucency are formed by nature—not printed or artificially repeated. These characteristics give each finished light its own distinctive appearance.

The Material Difference

Genuine Alabaster vs. Imitation

Imitation materials can recreate the appearance of alabaster, but they cannot reproduce the natural geological formation and individual mineral patterns found in genuine stone.

The Difference Is in the Stone.

Genuine alabaster contains naturally formed veining and color variation throughout the material. Each piece is individual, with organic markings that cannot be replicated exactly.

When illuminated, natural differences in the stone can create variations in light transmission and reveal the material's internal character.

Real Stone. Natural Veining. One of a Kind.

01 · Material

Natural vs. Manufactured

Genuine alabaster is natural stone. Imitation alabaster is made from manufactured materials.

02 · Veining

Unrepeatable Patterns

Natural mineral veins vary from piece to piece. Imitation patterns are artificially created or controlled.

03 · Light Effect

Natural Translucency

Real alabaster shows its own variations in translucency. An imitation's light effect depends on its material and construction.

Natural variation is part of genuine stone. Tone, mineral veining, and light transmission will differ between pieces. We select and arrange material with the overall appearance of each fixture in mind.

Production & Shipping

Alabaster FAQ

Questions Before You Order

What to expect from natural alabaster, custom production, protective packing, and delivery.

Is this genuine natural alabaster?
Yes. The alabaster shades featured on these genuine-alabaster product pages are made from natural stone, not resin imitation. Natural mineral veins, tone differences, and translucent areas are normal characteristics of the material.
Will my alabaster look exactly like the photos?
No two natural alabaster pieces have identical veining. The overall design and material type remain consistent, but each shade will have its own color, vein placement, and translucency. We select pieces to maintain a balanced appearance across the completed fixture.
Can the size, hanging height, or finish be customized?
Many alabaster designs can be customized in dimensions, suspension length, metal finish, or arrangement. Send your preferred measurements and project photos so we can confirm feasibility before production.
How long do production and shipping take?
For many orders, production takes approximately 15 days, followed by approximately 25–30 days for shipping to the United States. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates; timing varies by customization, product, destination, and logistics conditions. Please contact us for the current estimate before placing a time-sensitive order.
What if an alabaster piece is damaged during shipping?
Contact us promptly with photos of the packaging and affected components. If a part is damaged in transit, we can arrange replacement parts in accordance with our after-sales process.
How are natural stone fixtures packed?
We check the fixture before dispatch and protect alabaster components with appropriate inner packaging and reinforced wooden crate support for international transport. Packaging depends on the fixture's size and construction.
